Glory, tragedy, despair, happiness, relief, exhaustion. As always, this race had them all, and it took all of the 24 hours to tell the story. To come just 3 mins and 20 seconds away from their first win, after previously coming second, four times, Toyota must have dreamed they finally had it in the bag, only for it to turn into a nightmare. And one team’s nightmare becomes another team surprise, with Porsche completing another lap and with it take the chequered flag of victory...

After a winter of relaxation, catching up with all the delayed D-I-Y projects of home, we finally come to the stage when we can finally get out to the track and start listening to the high pitched whistle of the lesser spotted Audi R18, the elusive Toyota TS50 and the fleet and nimble Porsche 919!

It’s Monday morning as I type this, it’s grey, chilly and raining outside, but am I feeling blue? Not one bit of it! As today is the day for gathering everything together, packing the motorhome, sorting out my paperwork, and starting to build the excitement to 3 days of on-track action at the end of the week at Silverstone.
